# Spomen

> Spomen is a private, voice-first family story archive. People record memories by voice; AI asks follow-up questions, creates faithful written stories, and helps several relatives weave their attributed perspectives into one living family archive. Original recordings remain available and exportable.

## Important distinctions

- Spomen keeps raw audio and original transcripts separate from AI-cleaned and user-edited text.
- Spomen describes multi-contributor work as weaving voices: each person's perspective remains attributed.
- English is the default. Bulgarian is fully supported, and additional recording languages are released only after review; consult the current site for language status.
- Spomen does not offer voice cloning and does not use customer stories to train Spomen models.
- Digital books and PDF exports are finished artifacts; the growing private archive is the core product.

## Taking the archive with you

- Data export includes original audio, transcripts and story text, photos, structured JSON, and family-tree data in readable and GEDCOM formats.
- Spomen Family includes a separate watermark-free, print-ready PDF download.
- After cancellation, the archive remains readable and data export remains available. New recording, new AI work, and fresh PDF generation require an active Spomen Family plan.
- Spomen preserves memories people supply. It does not reconstruct forgotten events from photos or automatically back up a phone's camera roll.
